For every woman, the first basic instinct.. is motherhood. That comes even before survival. Belle was no
different. She grew tired of watching women years younger than her care for their children. She spent many nights looking
into the windows at mothers holding their infants with older children at their feet, reading to them or singing. She yearned
for that more than she had yearned for anything. She wanted her own child in her arms, her own creation of her own body. She
went through four miscarraiges before she found a way to be able to carry a child with a practicly dead body. With the help
of her mother, they determined that if she fed constantly that the blood would be able to substain both Belle and the unborn
child. Of course, they also learnt through Belle's second born that if she constantly fed on just one person, then the genes
of that particular person would be passed on to the child. THerefore, even if it wasnt that man that helped Belle conceive,
the child would still be his.
Belle Morte spent centuries obsessed with becoming a mother, and accomplished this perhaps in excess. She gave birth
to over two hundred and eighty children, and lost more than hlaf of those children due to the daily struggles of life at somepoint
in their adulthood. She found herself loosing the connection that she felt as a mother towards them, felt herself pulling
away. They became nothing more than a disposable member of her undead family, just as the creatures that she gave "The Eternal
Kiss" too. Was she losing that part of her that craved for humanities touch? Were the thousands of years that she had spent
destroying other mothers hearts finally catching up to her? Or were her children merely not living upto her standards, becoming
nothing but dissapointments? Nevertheless, she found herself destroying her own children, and not knowing why.
